Meet Michelle

Hi, I am Michelle.  I am a wife to a great supportive husband, a mom to two sweet boys,  a part time dental hygienist and a certified personal trainer.

I want to share why I am so passionate about health and fitness and how macromomma.com started. I have always enjoyed exercise, but found I wasn’t really losing weight. I wasn’t sure what to do for exercise, how much to lift, and how far to push myself with cardio to burn fat. With exercise aside, I also came to a realization that the hardest part about fat loss and weight loss was knowing what and how to eat correctly to fuel my body.

This is why I started macromomma.com to help share and give ideas of what to eat and to make it easy.  What I love most..? It’s not a diet. It’s simply eating healthy.  You can eat normal foods, you just need to eat them in correct portions. For instance, we all need carbohydrates, protein, and fats…these are called macronutrients. We just need them in the right proportions, so our body does not store the excess as fat. It’s a maintainable lifestyle change not a quick fix or diet.

I break it down in macros per meal and eat 5-6 meals a day every 2-3 hours.   With this new found knowledge of eating healthy, I feel like I can still have treats here and there. In fact, I can still eat out and am able to find healthy options on almost any menu.

I was always stuck on weight loss not necessarily fat loss. I wanted the scale to say a certain number. But through this journey I have learned to let go of what the scale says and focus on fat loss. I honestly have never felt better or been this lean. I have dropped 6 pant sizes in less then a year.

On a regular basis, people ask me what I’ve been doing or what I eat each day.   I love sharing this knowledge with others because it has truly changed my life. This is why I have become so passionate about it and why I started macromomma.com.

  1. Great job! What is your macro percentage? I am about to try this I was going to start on a 40 40 20 to begin with. What does a regular day of meals look like for you?

    • Hi, thanks! I haven’t done the 40 20 20 so I am not sure on how it compares to what I am doing. I get asked all the time what I eat each day so I wanted to offer an online program to make it simple. I have teamed up with my trainer at Core Personal Fitness and we are about to launch an online Nutrition and Fitness plan. It’s going to be on sale for $30.00 for the first month or so. It might be something you would like to try. Hopefully we will have it out the first of Dec. Thanks!
